FINE ART WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN NORTH YORKSHIRE
A COUNTRY HOUSE WEDDING
Laura and Jack got married in the summer at their own home, which is a stunning country house in North Yorkshire. They had their ceremony at the small church on their estate, which was just a short walk away. It was such a fun wedding and the sun shone all day long!
Laura got ready home with her bridesmaid and her friends, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. She then rode the short distance to get to the ceremony. With her father in the back scoop of a tractor. Jack got ready at a local pub with his groomsmen. He travelled to the ceremony by foot.
The ceremony was a beautiful service at thesmall church of Ingleby Arncliffe on the Arncliffe estate. The Grade II listed church was rebuilt in 1821 in the Regency style. A tiny church some of the guests had to stand in the aisle and outside. During the ceremony they had 2 lovely readings from the couples sisters. It was so unique and such a personal service. As is Yorkshire tradition the couple had to throw money to the onlookers so that could untie the church gates.
The reception was in a marquee at home. They chose the venue because they’ve always dreamed of getting married at home and it’s so meaningful to them. It was a country style wedding, which was perfect for the couple as Jack is a farmer. I love shooting country weddings because the surroundings are so lovely. The marquee was set on the back lawn with views across the pond and fields of the family farm. The drinks reception was held in the beautiful walled garden.
They had a drinks reception in the afternoon, and dancing in the evening. They decorated the venue with beautiful flowers and Australian themed table names, because Laura is Australian. The marquee was beautifully decorated with candles and florals.
Laura wore a stunning dress designed by Suzanne Neville. and Jack wore a suit from Oliver Brown and they looked so perfect. Laura’s flowers were a delicate collection of peonies, roses and other florals.
Laura and Jack’s wedding was so much fun and had such a chilled vibe.
