Charming wedding at West Lexham in the heart of Norfolk

WEST LEXHAM WEDDING

West Lexham is a truly unique wedding venue in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. A West Lexham wedding is a beautiful wedding.

The estate is an eco-friendly paradise, with charming treehouses, bell tents and cottages full of character. Definitely the definition of Glamping.

The gardens are truly magical, with succulents, grasses and florals providing a beautiful background for photographs. The River Nar flows through the estate and along with the lake and ponds it is the perfect location for guests to take a boat out and enjoy the countryside.

West Lexham hosts just a handful of handmade boutique weddings each year which makes for a truly exclusive experience.

NORFOLK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

It is no wonder that Alexandra and Adolfo chose West Lexham to host their very international wedding.  Adolfo is half Spanish, half English and Alexandra half German, half Greek. With guests travelling form all over the globe West Lexham was the perfect location for guests to stay and play.

The evening before the wedding guests joined together to enjoy a pool party, with sausages and sauerkraut. On the morning of the wedding they all emerged from their Treehouses and Bell Tents for breakfast at the communal kitchen.
During the morning guests noted on the lake, walked around the estate, had a dip in the pool or played a game of tennis.

Alexandra and her bridesmaids were getting ready in one of the cottages, whilst Adolfo was nearby in one of the Treehouses. It was a very relaxed affair.

The ceremony was held nearby at the local Catholic Church. Adolfo headed off to church in his father’s vintage Saab, whilst Alexandra was driven to the ceremony by her father in his vintage Mercedes.

The reception was an infusion of Spanish, Greek, German and English. With Flamenca guitarists, Iberico ham, roasted lamb and tzatziki among the flavours on offer.

As the day drew late the guests made their way towards the barn, a wonderful venue for the wedding breakfast, a  Moomintroll  theme, thanks to Alexandra’s childhood favouite.

With speeches, games, alfresco Greek dancing the day ended with the guests partying the night away.

If you  are looking to hold your wedding at West Lexham I would love to hear from you!
